SUDANARCHY by Fatima Suliman

Imagine the anarchy.
Where murderers are on billboards.
Where thousands are killed with no consequence.
Where women are beaten, killed and raped but the focus is on what they wore that day.
Where children are molested, abused and harassed with indifference.
Where millions are made homeless.
Just imagine the anarchy.
Where your tribe, your color, your allegiance is your detriment to success.
Where a man is a man and a woman is his whore.
Where you pay for your degree, grovel for your job, and beg for your life.
Where the teacher is tortured, the doctor is killed and the architect is arrested.
Where your phone is a sword and a picture takes you to jail.
Where religion is a business, and god is to blame.
Imagine the anarchy.
Where the whole world watched. And chose silence.
Now imagine the courage.
Of that one person that stood in front of the tank and shouted “freedom, justice and equality…tasgut bs”

**The slogan for those protests in Sudan has been “tasgot bs” meaning “just fall..that’s all” a message to the government.
