Enjoy Life Because It’s Short by Kemba Zola

Kemba Zola has been a writer all her life. She writes with no emotion; seeking to let the story resonate with the reader. Writing became an outlet as a way to express herself without interruption. She is currently working on her first book. When she is not writing she is spending quality time with her husband and granddaughter.
…. this story is called “Enjoy Life Because It’s Short”. It is about the last day I saw my 19 year
old brother alive. He was a jokester. I asked him to go pick up food for me, but instead he ran
to his car to drive away. As I came outside he was laughing and waving good bye. He was
murdered hours later.

This ten word story was typed on a Smith Corona Super-Silent, c. 1957. Let’s call this beautiful blue boy, Andrew.
