About

If you asked how this project came about…

Dime Show Review is born from a dream. Yes, an in-the-bed, under-the-covers dream. There is a circus poster in the Library of Congress dating from the 1880’s. Back then, the traveling circus was great entertainment. Intrigue, mystery, and a place to hang out with your friends. This is how the idea for Dime Show Review came to light.

B.A. Bamber’s Dime Show featured such interesting things as Art, Architecture, Fun…Electricity, Statuary… Can’t beat that. Today, Dime Show Review features stories and poetry and audio by emerging as well as established authors. Writing is the focus. Drool-worthy goodness meant to be savored again and again.  Only have a minute? Visit Ten Word Stories under Fiction for the Typewriter Gallery: stories ten words in length.

Dime Show Review made its public debut on June 23, 2016 with a poem by Katie Quarles. Immediately following were short stories by Frederick K. Foote and Patricia Wentzel. This dream turned labor of love is an online engine for stories, poems, writing prompts and audio. Kae Sable is the Editor in Chief, audio production engineer and the instigator for this project.

We have volunteer readers and supporters of Dime Show Review, including and and photography by talented people like Terri Malone, Dirk Dreyer, Larry Thacker, and more.

If an idea or story is compelling enough to stick with you day and night, suspend disbelief and submit it. Join the menagerie. You could win a goldfish — or publication in Dime Show Review.
