a dove, its wings
a napkin
made to look like the wings
of a dove
the corner of the page that you just
read for the third time
the bedcovers
turned down –
items with little in common except
for the creases
and signs of wear
and tear
and a general weariness
with references to unseen universes
that lurk
in the scary places between
the pleats.
